Tired of being robbed on his way home, young Alberto Fuentes decided to buy a promotion of 38 phones he saw available at TokyoElectric, a company dedicated to wholesale technology sales, so he could give a phone to each thug who tried to rob him on his daily commute on the subway. Unfortunately, the phones only lasted him five and a half days.
"I feel like Santa Claus giving a phone to every thug!"
Alberto Fuentes
We sent our underpaid intern to talk to Fuentes to find out firsthand the reasons that led him to take this radical measure to combat crime: "No, man, I'm happy with that promotion of 38 cheap phones so I can counteract every time a criminal face comes to take what's mine. That's how I keep the thieves at bay. What I do is I leave my phone at home and bring the 38 in my bag; you might think that's a lot, but you'd be surprised if I told you how many times I get robbed daily. I feel like Santa Claus giving a phone to every thug! Next week I'll buy 38 more, because these only lasted me half a week," Fuentes concluded while our intern checked Tokyo Electric's account to see if he could find a decent internship for himself.
